Expanded states first took me with a spontaneous mystical experience in my early twenties. Soon after I came across psychedelics and later meditation. I did a PhD in Religious Studies to deepen my understanding, and I’m still working with what I learnt from that. I became professionally involved with psychedelics in 2020 when I joined The Synthesis Institute as Director of Ecopsychology. In 2021 I became a Learning Mentor for the first cohort of students in the Synthesis Psychedelic Practitioner Training. I accompanied the students on their ten-day psychedelic retreat in the Summer of 2022 and then joined the Synthesis Retreat Team as a Co-lead Facilitator. I remained in this job until the final retreat in Spring 2023. I was awarded the Synthesis Psychedelic Practitioner Training Certificate in 2023. I'm a member of the Institute of Psychedelic Therapy, a guest lecturer on the PGCert Psychedelics: Mind, Medicine, and Culture at the University of Exeter and have trained as a Research Therapist with Beckley Psytech.

Born 54 years ago in Mexico. I have been very interested in mysticism and shamanism since I was young. My first experience with plant medicine was as a teenager traveling through the Mexican deserts, which are rich in cactus containing psychedelic compounds (peyote). At the age of seventeen, I decided to leave home and pursue my own career, at this point I worked mostly in restaurants. Toad medicine (Bufo Alvarius) came into my life many years later when I was over forty. By that time, I was a successful manager in a well-known restaurant in Spain, whilst at the same time going through a divorce process. It was at this time I fell into a severe depression and felt the only way out was suicide by overdosing on large quantities of cocaine. But a grateful encounter with my now long-time friend guided me directly to this sacred medicine that completely suddenly changed my life from one day to another. The addiction and depression were gone, After this process whit the Bufo medicine, I began to have lucid dreams, about Indians who shared their knowledge and experience with me in the Mexican Sonora Desert. After a few months, I decided to follow those dreams and go to Sonora Mexico. To my surprise, the elder of the Seri Indians tribe welcomes me with the words: “We’ve Been Expecting You! You’ll spend three weeks with us and medicine and then we’ll see if we will bless you to become a carrier of this sacred medicine.” So it happened, my dreams were manifested, So in February 2014 I received their knowledge to share this sacred medicine with the whole world. I have been blessed with this work for the last twelve years, about eleven thousand people have passed through my hands, as well as a few European and American Celebrities. During this time, I have served in many countries in Europe (Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Portugal, France, England & Ireland) and America (Mexico, Miami, Dallas, New York). I have collaborated with scientists at the University of the Czech Republic and other institutes in Europe like MAPS & ICEERS on this research aimed at detecting people’s reintegration abilities. Setting, safety standards and integrity as one of my priorities in the way of the ceremonies. I find it important to have personal interviews at least a few weeks in advance, including providing all the necessary information for the pre-preparation for the ceremony and also for the subsequent reintegration with a list of reintegration tools. I serve medicine to a maximum of 7 people per day, and one on one sessions separately. Before I start the ceremony, I ask a few basic security questions about (illnesses, medications, drugs, alcohol) and then i can decide which medicine to use synthetic 5 meo, or Buffo, within the group. I give everyone as much time as they need to settle down and reintegrate as each person needs, then I start working with the next person. During the ceremony, I use chanting, & mantras, Tibetan bowls, or a shamanic drum. Everyone has the option to choose according to their intuition from the two medicines I work with (Bufo Alvarius or pure synthetic 5-Meo-DMT). Also, everyone has the choice whether they would like to use the medicine once, twice, or three times during the ceremony, this is depending on their intuition, needs, and previous experience. The process is as gentle as possible, you can do this sitting in the lotus position or just sitting down if you have difficulty with this specific pose, and I always respect the client’s space during the process. I only give Hope for grounding on request. The process of ego loss is experienced by many as a process of death and rebirth or oneness with the whole Universe, bringing mental clarity, increased motivation, awareness, the joy of life, a sense of inner peace and calm, releasing fear of death, attachment to past trauma and habitual negative thought patterns into ordinary life. The ceremony is followed by a communal sharing of experiences and food before everyone leaves to go home.

The healing of these aspects required years of devotion to sitting with the Medicines as a participant. I can honestly say that the medicine, alongside my soulmate horse, Gunner, saved my life. While my journey will never be over and continues, I have walked the red road, the spiral around and around the medicine wheel. I have faced my own shadow with love in my heart, I have walked to the depths of myself, and in that fertile darkness, I have remembered my own wholeness. I believe that I can only walk beside others to the depths that I have gone into myself. Today, I stand in deep gratitude, knowing that I am fulfilling my soul’s work. My approach bridges nature, embodiment practices, shadow work, spiritual devotion, ritual, energy work, and the sacred force of love to create a space for others to reconnect with their innate wisdom. This is why I never pursued anthropology as a career, even though this would be the closest academic discipline to my liking. Fascinated with indigenous cultures since childhood, all I wanted to do was to explore them myself and be with them, rather than study about them in university. Intuitively, I felt that no amount of class hours could actually teach me about the life lived by people whose worldview is not limited by words and concepts — people who sniff the wind to know where to find game or perceive danger. Intuition and extrasensory perception would never fit into a classroom. They are bigger than that and much more real. I began my shamanic path drinking Ayahuasca and Huachuma San Pedro cactus in Iquitos, Peru in 2005. After a lifelong search for magic, spirituality and later enlightenment, I was fortunate enough to be found worthy of real shamanic experiences which have transformed both myself and my life completely. My old self is hardly recognizable even to me, who knew myself best. Sometimes I remember my past with a bitter sense of embarrassment, and on a good day, with compassion. I was living my life without spiritual guidance, as the teachings available through mainstream spirituality were unsatisfactory for my taste. The mindfulness and meditation path given by Indian gurus wasn’t for me. None of this could actually teach me life and how to live it correctly, be happy, and live with joy. Anywhere I looked, I only found preachers, none of whom I felt had enough inner depth to resonate with me fully. It all felt superficial at best. The closest I came to that which I was seeking after was in books and in personal psychedelic experiences, which I had long before I found sacred plants. Looking back, it is clear that I was getting prepared for my future, which would be infused with working with plant teachers. Bypassing a load of unnecessary information that would just take space in my memory if I were to embrace an academic path, I dived directly into the world of Spirit when the right time came. My life was saved on numerous occasions. Being young, adventurous and curious, I was teasing death prematurely. I made my guardian spirits work too hard. But apart from the obvious physical dangers, I now understand more subtle level of protection which I interpret as being saved from taking the wrong intellectual paths in life, which may have proven deadly to my spirit. ​ There are many who write beautifully about the shamanic experience, myself included, and while this can be a wonderful introduction to the subject, it's never the same as having an experience yourself. It's important not to mistake the map for the territory when it comes to consciousness and spirituality. My enduring interest in natural well-being, health, and fitness prompted me to pursue studies in these areas. Since 2010, I’ve been certified as a personal trainer, circuit trainer, and nutritional advisor, specialising in plant-based diets. Throughout most of my adult life, I’ve been a traveller of the world, living on four continents and embracing the beauty of many diverse cultures. In 2012, my journey brought me to Peru, initially as a volunteer worker in the city of Arequipa, situated in Southern Peru – the home town of my wonderful wife. Eventually, we chose to settle down and build a family in the captivating jungle region of Peru. For the past eight years, I’ve been residing in Pucallpa, situated in the Amazon jungle of Peru, alongside my wife and son. During this time, I’ve been privileged to collaborate with various tribal ethnic groups, such as the Shipibo, Ashaninka, Kukama, and many others. Pucallpa is a city in the Eastern region of Peru, nestled along the banks of the Amazon River. Serving as the capital of the Ucayali region, it stands as the second-largest city in the Amazon region. Peru boasts 51 indigenous communities, each with its distinct traditions and way of life. Through the support of charitable organisations like ACD Maroto (dedicated to preserving Shipibo culture), The Bilingual Institute of Pucallpa (a university serving indigenous communities), and The Shipibo Territorial Government (committed to protecting and preserving Shipibo land), I’ve had the honour of collaborating with 14 of these ethnic groups. Among the medicines I’ve had the privilege of working with are Kambo (derived from the sacred frog’s secretion), Ayahuasca (a sacred hallucinogenic drink crafted from the ayahuasca vine and the leaves of the chacruna plant), San Pedro (a sacred hallucinogenic cactus), Rapeh (a sacred powder composed of wild tobacco blended with other plants), Sananga (eye drops made from the roots of the uchu sanango tree), and Ayahuma (also known as the wizzard tree). Ayahuasca and chacruna, cooking preperation I’ve gained hands-on experience with plant dietas, medicinal plant baths, medicinal plant saunas, spiritual cleanings, as well as the preparation of decoctions, concoctions, extractions, salves, creams, teas, and remedies using Amazonian plants. I am delighted to have the chance to return to Europe and share this wealth of knowledge. Hello! I’m Kayli and it’s been a series of synchronistic events that led me down this path. Being here now, I feel so grateful that both my passion and purpose have aligned. My name is Alexander Romer, the owner and head mycologist at Luminaire Mushroom Company, and here is a little bit of my story. In the summer of 2022, I experienced a traumatic brain injury that almost ended my life, and changed the course of my, and my family’s future forever. I had been working as a counselor and crisis intervention specialist at the time, and after almost a decade working as a mental health professional, I had to step away from that part of my life, which at the time was devastating. Unsure of what the future would hold, I did everything I could to focus on healing and being there for my family, and this is exactly what led me to the extraordinary power of fungi. When nothing else helped, I turned to mushrooms and they provided me with the exact support I needed to recover, something they continue to do for me each day. After my experience, I knew I had found my calling. It all started through my own healing journey. I always said that if I ever found a way to heal my mental and physical health, I would share however I did so with the world. These are the methods that helped me. I serve them with the utmost humility and respect as I hold space for your own self-growth. Anyone on this journey has likely heard the phrase that “healing comes from within”, and, indeed it does. However, sometimes support is needed to go deeper inside. My younger years were plagued with depression, PTSD, and a myriad of physical issues that kept me in almost constant pain in my mind and body. During my early twenties, I traveled the world studying and living different healing modalities. My travels ultimately lead me to India where I studied yoga, meditation, and bodywork. It was during this time that I grew aware of the ways my consciousness was largely holding onto my ailments, and where I finally began to find the tools I needed to move forward with my life. It was also in India where I first sat with Kambo. Over the next 1.5 years, Kambo offered me more healing than anything I had yet found physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Everyday, I am grateful for Kambo in my life as it continues to teach me potent lessons on existence, service, and respect. I am also deeply grateful for the Matses tribe, and other tribes in the Amazon for sharing this potent remedy with the world. To me, serving these modalities is just as important as receiving them. Our home, nestled at the center of the 5 acres, is a spacious charming farm house offering a bright main room that is used as the ceremonial space. A cedar sauna sits tucked on the edge of the pond between two weeping willows, Grief & Praise and is often fired up at some point during the weekend. There are many nooks and pockets to explore on the land offering a lovely way to percolate in the post ceremony musings and meditation.

Our memory field is so important in our journey as it is through them our ancestors guide us and connect with us. As we continue to step forward and be part of this Revolution of Consciousness, it is crucial to remember. My Spiritual Awakening Journey started in my childhood. I was born and raised in Lima, Perú. My lineage comes from both the indigenous communities of the Rainforest area and the Center Mountain Range as well as from Spain. As a child, I felt so much the wisdom of my ancestors and my gifts, but I didn’t understand them, so I closed them off. I did so with tons of self-sabotaging patterns and harming myself very deeply. As I very young kid, I became bulimic and anorexia and this went on for 20 plus years on and off. I hated myself and I wanted to change pretty much everything about me. Because of this deep pain within myself and the disconnection I had, I suffered from depression and anxiety to the point that I became massively depressed in 2011 and had extremely suicidal tendencies for over a year. I had to live second by second, breath by breath. It was through this massive drop into my shadow world that I found my strength and the gifts in my shadow self. I began to integrate myself and put myself back together (if you see me in person ask me to show you the tattoo on my right rib). I had embarked on the most amazing journey, and I hadn’t even realized it yet. I began to study many different holistic therapies, did tons of yoga teacher trainings, energetic trainings, immersions, you name it. Whatever came my way I said, “YES!” IN 2016 I HAD A MASSIVE KUNDALINI AWAKENING THAT SHATTERED ME TO MY CORE. Diving deep into each practice cleansed so many of my energetics channels which let to the Awakening of my Kundalini Energy. This is where deep shadow work began and I dove even deeper into my own shadows. They guided me and showed me the way of the energetics. I spent about 3 years in nearly isolation, dedicating myself to me and my process. During this period of my life, I moved to Asia, where I connected with the innerdance community. This was a massive shift as I realized Kundalini Awakening was indeed normal. This field of Consciousness (Innerdance ), helped me integrate more my own experiences and surrender to my gifts, especially Light Language and Channeling. I connected so deeply with my roots in Asia and in 2019 I moved to Cusco, Perú with my beloved where I began to remember the wisdom of my Motherland and my Ancestors. Coming full circle in the hero’s journey and the return to where I was born, activated the remembrance of Plant Spirits and the connectivity I had always had with them. I studied under different teachers in Perú and Colombia until I was ready to come out of my cocoon and share this wisdom with the rest of the world. So, here I am, having gone through so many deep processes and painful experiences. I do not regret any of them because I know they all led me to who I am, and what I came here to do: My Method: I travel to the grid of the energetics where the portals to your multidimensional being exist. In that space, I merge with All That Is and this Personal Consciousness no longer runs the show. Even though you do hear my voice and see my body, it is not necessarily “me” doing the work, but the Energy of Life Itself. Through that space many teachings, guidances, messages, shadow processes, remembrance, channels for you, as we guide you into a more balanced state so you can begin to clean your channels a bit more, and connect with the roots of your being.
