Today we’d like to introduce you to Teddy Brenner.

Teddy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Tranquil Soul Balance was born from a deep curiosity about healing, consciousness, and what it means to live in alignment with our true selves. My path into this work began years ago through personal exploration with mindfulness practices and psychedelic experiences, where I witnessed firsthand the profound impact these tools can have when approached with intention and care.

Over time, that curiosity evolved into formal training through the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness, where I developed skills in mindfulness-based psychedelic therapy, harm reduction, and integration support. Alongside my academic background in business and marketing, I began shaping a practice that blends grounded structure with deeply personalized, heart-centered care.

As I continued working with individuals and couples, it became clear that many people were seeking safe, supportive spaces to explore their inner world—especially those who felt unseen or underserved by traditional systems. That realization led me to create Tranquil Soul Balance as a non-clinical, judgment-free container where clients can prepare for, experience, and integrate psychedelic journeys in a meaningful and supported way.

Today, my work focuses on helping people reconnect with themselves, navigate life transitions, and cultivate lasting change through intentional journey work and integration. It’s a practice rooted in the belief that each person holds their own inner capacity to heal.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I always say, life gets in the way of life. There’s always something unfolding that can impact our forward progress on what we set our minds to—not as a distraction, but as a moment asking for our attention.

This path hasn’t been perfectly smooth, and I don’t believe it was meant to be. There have been pauses, pivots, and phases of deep reflection that have reshaped how I show up, both in my work and in my personal life. Each challenge has invited me to slow down, listen more closely, and engage with the same tools I offer to others.

People often say “practice what you preach,” but for me, it’s more about learning alongside my clients.

That growth ultimately led to the foundation of Tranquil Soul Balance. My experiences have deepened my empathy, expanded my capacity to hold space, and reinforced the importance of approaching this work with humility and care.

So while the journey hasn’t been linear, it has been intentional—and every step has contributed to the depth and integrity of what I offer today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Tranquil Soul Balance is a somatic and mindfulness-based psychedelic support practice focused on helping individuals and couples navigate preparation, psychedelic journey work, and integration with intention and care. At its core, the work is about creating a safe, grounded, and judgment-free space where people can explore their inner world and reconnect with themselves.

I specialize in mindfulness-based psychedelic therapy, with training in multiple modalities of plant medicine, allowing me to tailor a series of sessions to the client’s needs. My offerings include preparation sessions, guided journeys, integration coaching, and microdose consultation support—meeting clients wherever they are in their process.

After I started Tranquil Soul Balance, I aligned with Conscious Pathways Collective, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to provide clinical work and a support team (when needed) with couples, and individual clients, helping them deepen connection, communication, and shared understanding through intentional experiences.

What sets Tranquil Soul Balance apart is the balance between structure and personalization. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach—each client’s experience is curated with care, blending mindfulness practices, somatic awareness, and deep inquiry. My role isn’t to “fix” or direct, but to support clients in accessing their own inner healing intelligence.

I’m also proud of the container I’ve created. It’s intentionally non-clinical, warm, and human—while still grounded in strong training, harm reduction, and ethical responsibility. Many of my clients come to me because they’re looking for something that feels both safe and authentic and non clinical, especially those who may not feel fully seen in more traditional settings.

At the heart of the brand is a deep belief: that healing doesn’t come from outside of us—it’s something we uncover within, when given the right support, space, and intention. That’s what I aim to provide through every offering at Tranquil Soul Balance.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was the youngest of a family of 7. Growing up for me meant learning from my siblings and parents’ mistakes while finding out I still had to make those mistakes on my own. But it really showed me the pattern of people’s choices. I was a precocious kid, and my mom made me carry a little notebook to write down all of my questions, so she could have a chance at actually answering the many, many questions I had about life and how it all worked. I was always very curious about the world around me.

When I was 16, I went on a service trip with Amigos de las Americas to Oaxaca, Mexico where I immersed myself in the culture and taught hygiene and nutrition to a local youth group. Travel and interacting with people from other places around the world then became a very important part of my life. Each trip showed me a little more perspective about how other cultures behave and interact. I love making discoveries and connections all over the world. My first jobs in business were both international sales positions, so I’ve seen quite a few places and met quite a few people along the way.
