Scientifically, Kambo enters the lymphatic system, waking up the body's natural ability to heal itself on a cellular level. After Kambo, people often see massive energetic shifts in their lives, from dramatic improvements in physical healing, to reductions in depression and addictions, to relief from chronic pain, major illnesses and more. &nbsp; An Italian scientist, Vittorio Erspamer, of the University of Rome was the first to analyze Kambo in the lab.&nbsp; Vittorio Erspamer was twice nominated for a nobel prize and was also responsible for first discovering the well known neurotransmitter Serotonin. &nbsp;&nbsp;Erspamer concluded that Kambo contains a ‘fantastic chemical cocktail with potential medical applications, unequalled by any other amphibian’.&nbsp; His findings brought great attention to the area of peptides which have since become very important to the medical field. Peptides are a fundamental part of nature, found in animals and humans alike.&nbsp;They're comprised of amino acids - the building blocks of life - just like proteins are.&nbsp; The common factor that distinguishes a peptide from a protein, are the amount of amino acids that bond together. Peptides are comprised of shorter chains of amino acids. Proteins are comprised of longer chains of amino acids, roughly 50 or more.
 
 Enzymes can break down proteins back into shorter peptides through digestion, where the body can decide whether its most beneficial to use these peptides or excrete them.
 
 Depending on the amino acids involved, peptides can perform many different biological functions in the body. Some perform antimicrobial, hormonal, and neuro activities, providing support to vital cellular processes and functions within the bod &nbsp; The peptides discovered by Erspamer {in Kambo} trigger a variety of beneficial chemical reactions in the human body.&nbsp; Kambo has the ability, unlike many other natural and pharmaceutical substances, to cross the blood-brain barrier, enabling it to reach deep into the body and bring support to otherwise difficult to treat areas.&nbsp; Human cells open up to the beneficial properties of Kambo unlike many substances that are filtered and eliminated by the body’s highly intelligent defense system.&nbsp;Thus far, researchers have discovered nine peptides, some of which are bio-active – meaning that they perform specific functions in the body. Contradictions &amp; Considerations Kambô is very safe but should always be taken with a properly trained person administering and supervising the treatments at all times. Certain health conditions prevent some people from taking Kambô just like some situations require special precautions.  Kambô Contraindications
 People with any of the conditions below CANNOT safely take Kambô:

 •&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Medication for low blood pressure

 •&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Aneurysms or blood clots
 •&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Lack the mental capacity to make the decision to take Kambô
 •&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Serious mental health problems excluding depression and anxiety
 •&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy for 4-6 weeks afterward
