Sanctuary 72 is a dedicated non-profit community and sacred plant-medicine temple based in Hawaii, rooted in deep spiritual inquiry, ceremonial practice, and holistic transformation. As a registered 508(c)(1)(a) Church, Sanctuary 72 brings together ancient wisdom traditions and contemporary modalities to steward conscious evolution, honor nature’s sacraments, and expand access to safe, reverent, and ethically grounded learning experiences.
At the heart of Sanctuary 72’s work is the belief that ceremonial practices and the thoughtful use of nature’s sacraments can be powerful vehicles for personal insight, healing, and community liberation. They uphold values of divine connection, truth-seeking, sovereignty of body and spirit, stewardship of the Earth, and integration of experience into everyday life.
Sanctuary 72’s educator presence centers on creating educational pathways for individuals called to support others with intentional, safe, and ethically informed care. Their offerings aim to cultivate confidence, clarity, and purpose in those who feel drawn to ceremonial facilitation — whether for personal enrichment, professional growth, or community service.
The organization’s signature training programs include:
Intro to Facilitator Training — a self-paced foundational program introducing essential principles of ceremonial space-holding, intentional ritual design, and the core mind-body-spirit practices that underpin more advanced training. This program is designed to help learners explore the fundamentals of facilitating sacred experiences with integrity and awareness.
Mush Love Initiation — Facilitator & Ceremonial Training — a comprehensive, immersive 7–9 month journey into the art and mystery of transformational space-holding and ceremony. This in-depth training helps participants deepen their relationship to nature’s sacraments, refine their capacities for presence and containment, and integrate advanced somatic, psychological, and ceremonial methods into their work.
Sanctuary 72’s educational approach blends trauma-informed practices, ceremonial ethics, somatic inquiry, music as medicine, and reverent work with sacred sacraments. Through this blend, participants are guided to embody the principles they teach, forming a foundation for responsible facilitation that prioritizes safety, depth, and transformation.

Sari Starr
Based on the Big Island of Hawaii after seven years in Los Angeles, Canadian Native Sari Starr is a Liberation Doula, Musician, Magician and Ceremonialis. She authored the book “Let The Magic Be Your Guide: From Micro to Hero”, and is the Founder of Celestial Sacraments can co-founder of Sanctuary 72. Prior to embracing the world of Sacred Ceremony, Sari ran a creative agency that built campaigns for lifestyle brands across the globe since 2002. In 2016, Sari launched Redefining Cannab!s, an agency spin-off where she used her brand and marketing talents to cultivate a paradigm shift and help build a new era of culture for this plant.
Next came Cannab!ss Retreats, a pioneer in educational and experiential retreats and festivals. Thanks to media hype and tremendous interest, Cannabl!ss Retreats reached thousands of people around the world and hosted retreats in California, Canada, Jamaica and Hawaii
Sari Starr has over twenty years of training in human potential, including her 200-hour yoga teacher training, Levels 1 & 2 certification in Reiki, and completion of Dr. Joe Dispenza’s advance training retreat. She has studied and sat in ceremony with Shamanic Wisdom Keepers from all over the planet, and has completed 2 years initiation with the lineage of the 13 Moon Oracle Mystery School.
As a result of her deep journey into the Mysteries of the Universe, Sari offers sacred ceremonies and rituals accompanied by integration council to help people reach enlightened states of awareness using these tools, trainings, as her allies and guides.
Sari teaches people how to integrate ceremonial experiences into daily life, so they can be used as as a tool for deep self-awareness and rewriting old narratives of limiting beliefs. Sari hosts retreats, offers an online facilitator training: Mush Love Initiation, as part of the certification for Sanctuary 72 Ceremonial Facilitators, and educates people on how to achieve self-liberation.

Natalie Silva, an Embodiment Earth Priestess and International Plant-Based Culinary Chef, seamlessly weaves her passion for culture, travel, and food into a vibrant tapestry cultivated through five years of professional focus. As a true artisan in the kitchen, Natalie transforms high-vibrational whole foods into nourishing, ceremonial meals that ignite both body and spirit.
Guided by a thirst for holistic expansion, Natalie has immersed herself in Hatha yoga, dance, and fire-spinning, infusing her work with creativity and embodied expression. Her connection with Angelic energies allows her to hold a compassionate and uplifting space, guiding others through transformative journeys.
In addition to her culinary artistry, Natalie serves as Treasurer on the Board of Trustees at Sanctuary 72, where she co-creates and supports sacred community gatherings and retreats. Grounded in the wisdom of Non-Duality, Quantum Physics, and Existential Curiosity, Natalie connects deeply with the stories of those she serves, offering perspective and support rooted in love and care.

Michael Kawa (pronounced “Kava”) has walked a life path that is a symphony of spirituality and self-discovery. With a deep passion for music and soulful singing, he has embraced the transformative power of sound as a core element of his spiritual practice. Through life’s challenges, he fearlessly followed his heart, emerging as a beacon of service to others.
His connection to the sacred ways inspired him to hold ceremonies that honor the essence of life’s mysteries. For decades, Kawa has dedicated himself to body movement and meditation, unknowingly preparing for the purpose he now lives — guiding others toward inner harmony and self-realization.
Today, Kawa shares his rich spiritual experience and the wisdom he has decoded from his life’s journey.
