Ektha Aggarwal · LCSW CEO

Hi! I am the Founder and CEO of Shakti Therapy and Healing Services based in Los Angeles, CA. As a ketamine therapist and South Asian therapist in Los Angeles, my practice uses a holistic and psychotherapeutic approach to help you realize that you are an integral part of the vast and complex web of life - that the health of the whole is intimately connected with the health of the individual. I believe you are not separate from nature, from yourself or even each other - that in a very real way, every one of your decisions and actions affects all of these realms. As a South Asian therapist in Los Angeles, combining both ancient Eastern and the most up to date scientific modalities, my work stems from a basis of connection - mind to body, human to nature, individual to community, physical to spiritual, past to present to future. Being a South Asian therapist in Los Angeles and a ketamine therapist, I specializes in working with three communities: People who are looking to connect with their higher self and identify their purpose in life through holistic therapy. People of color to break the stigma around mental health. I am your South Asian Therapist in Los Angeles (Indian, Desi) People seeking to connect with their inner child and heart center through ketamine assisted psychotherapy. During my free time you can find me hiking the many waterfalls in Los Angeles, punching out my stress with Muay Thai, or enjoying a glass of wine. Weekends has a time for me to renourish with acupuncture, beach picnics, and reconnecting with friends and family! I love LA...if you're looking for something to connect with in this city, reach out and I'll share some fun recommendations! A Message To My Clients As YOUR South Asian therapist in Los Angeles, I am committed to helping you discover your inner power and cultivate lasting change. I help people whose emotions or thoughts take over at the worst possible moments, and those who wrestle with day-to-day life confusion, pain or loss. This period of time can feel overwhelming and debilitating. It may even affect your relationships with family, friends or career. How do you to face the difficult questions, show courage, and claim your Shakti (strength) in order to heal? Healing begins with love. Let’s work on being in love with the person in the mirror. You have been through so much and are still showing resilience. If you are ready to feel empowered, effortlessly achieve your goals, and feel more happiness in your life, contact me today for a complimentary telephone consultation. I am in this with you & TOGETHER we can navigate any conflict you are trying to manage.

Shruti Shankar · South Asian therapist

A Bit About Shruti Supervised by Ektha Aggarwal, LCSW As a South Asian therapist in Los Angeles woman who has experienced and witnessed the stigma around mental health, I bring mindfulness and somatic tools to my clients to help them find balance and create the shifts that they need while exploring the pain that brought them to therapy in a meaningful, healing way. By working both domestically and internationally in the humanitarian sector, I provide a compassionate and empowering environment for you to feel confident within your own skin and culture so you can break free from the societal expectations of who you should be. Let’s learn who you really are. Connecting with people and understanding your story has been a great passion for me. I am an AAPI woman of color and enjoy helping clients explore the societal, family and personal struggles that make them who they are. As a trauma therapist, the goal of our therapeutic relationship is to create a safe environment for you to work through life challenges, heal intergenerational trauma, and confidently tap into your authentic self by shifting the voice of your inner critic. As a Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Associate from Antioch University, with a specialization in trauma. I have been supporting people in achieving their life goals and breaking down intergenerational trauma. I am deeply passionate in raising my voice and helping you find your voice if you are struggling with emotional and behavioral challenges or mood disorders that may be heightened by your traumatic upbringing. Your childhood may impact who you are today, and together, we can unpack the pains of intergenerational trauma and transform them to your personal power of intergenerational wisdom. A Message To My Clients Beginning therapy and the healing process can be scary. Mental health is as important as physical body health. Healing does not mean the experience never happened but that it no longer has a significant impact on you. My goal as a South Asian therapist in Los Angeles is to guide you to practice self-compassion in the face of adversity, to understand your needs and culturally communicate them effectively, and create supportive boundaries within unhealthy relationships, and to engage in consistent self-care to thrive with your mental health. These skills will allow you to be self-sufficient, encourage you to develop health interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships, and heal from intergenerational trauma. Like an archeological dig, the session is YOUR TIME to strengthen your relationship with yourself or others, rediscover your purpose, fall in love with yourself, heal from past pain, release thoughts or beliefs that controlled your mind, and quite negative self talk and fear. Let us work TOGETHER in helping you live YOUR ideal life.

Meghrik Gorjian · Therapist

A Bit About Meghrik Supervised by Ektha Aggarwal, LCSW As an Armenian and Iranian Therapist, my cultural upbringing has reaffirmed that people deserve to be heard, seen, and deeply understood. Your challenges matter and your story deserves to be heard and held in safety and sensitivity. It takes profound courage to reach out and ask for help. My therapeutic style is centered around you - the holistic person that you were, have become, and will be. I have always been fascinated with three main parts of human body: Brain, heart, and the gut. During my first psychology course, it was evident to me that a healthy mind supersedes a healthy body. As your therapist, I am fluent in English, Armenian, and Farsi. I am driven to create a safe environment for you to be able to communicate freely in a place where judgment does not exist. My therapeutic experience started of with me working directly with people and families who have been exposed to trauma, anxiety, depression, and OCD. Through this challenges I was also able to successfully support couples in relationships and marriages so they can align the individual wholeness into a joint wholeness centered around love, understanding, and alignment. I have also worked closely with the LGBTQ+ community to give them a presence and a sense of rightful belonging. You deserve to discover your inner strength and learn to heal from past traumas so they no longer hold you back from happiness, fulfillment, and peace. I'm dedicated to providing you a safe and supportive environment where I can bring tools such as CBT and PST. I’m informed in IFS and Brainspotting and have been training using the PACT model. Let's work together to build a strong foundation for a happier and healthier future. A Message To My Clients As your therapist, my primary goal is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, seen, and understood. Together, we will explore the depths of your experiences, emotions, and thoughts, working towards uncovering the underlying patterns and beliefs that may be holding you back. I am here to support, challenge, and guide you as we navigate the complexities of your inner world, fostering healing and transformation. Your well-being and progress are at the forefront of my mind, and I am dedicated to tailoring our therapeutic journey to meet your unique needs. Jill Smith · Therapist

A Bit About Jill Supervised by Ektha Aggarwal, LCSW Listening to ocean waves crashing relaxes me and helps to remind me about the ebbs and flow of being a child and transitioning into adulthood. I understand that life may not be easy and always simple, and sometimes it feels like the world is crashing down all around you. A deep breath or kind words can go a long way in soothing you in a time of distress. As your therapist, I specialize in working with children and teens ranging from issues such as anxiety and separation anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger and acting out behaviors, bullying, domestic abuse, divorce, grief and loss of a loved one, and issues dealing with self esteem and self worth. I teach mindfulness tools, I help to build self confidence and self esteem, teach about boundaries and communication, guide you through challenging moments that come up in the home and school, and help families build a healthy relationship dynamic between one another. The colorful life experiences I have journeyed through since I saw my first therapist at the age of 7, has paved the way for me to specialize in child therapy in Los Angeles for your children and families. Early on I learned it is important to get the help and tools at a young age so that you’re able to cope and regulate your nervous system as you transition to adulthood. This journey doesn’t have to be anxiety provoking for your children and teenagers, they can learn to cope and enjoy this transition with happiness and play. When working with children, I use play therapy modalities such as sand play to foster learning and help them explore their imagination (unconscious thinking patterns) through their play. You can help your children get to know themselves and to understand their inner workings in order to heal and grow by working with me. My desire is to help you and your children and teenagers connect to your true authentic self. Being a holistic child therapist in Los Angeles, I believe that this journey starts with self-love and unconditional acceptance. Compassion goes a long way towards success and empowerment in helping them transition into adulthood. A Message To My Clients My soul mission as a holistic child therapist in Los Angeles is to help your adolescent truly know who you are at the core. As a multicultural therapist, I enjoy working with various cultures, races and backgrounds. I have the ability to meet your kiddo where they are at any stage of their life. I find that laughter is one of the best medicines in life, and so is crying or grieving. People are multidimensional beings and so complex from day to day. It's not easy being a human, however, it's truly a blessing!
