We celebrated our 5th Birthday Celebration in September 2023, and the big news that we’ve relocated from Gauteng to the beautiful Swellendam, Western Cape, in South Africa. Our new facility is on the breath-taking and rumbling Breede River, with abundant bird life, magnificent sunsets and sunrises, and epic clear night skies. Our holistic activities, include Yoga, Meditation, Massage therapy & grounding Live Acoustic Sound Journey, and Labyrinth walking. We believe in small groups of 3 people for personal attention, and host two retreats per month. Each person has their en-suite bathroom and each bedroom is equipped with a camera for observation for the first 48 hours, as safety is our first priority during each person’s transformational process.

What is Ibogaine?

Ibogaine is an isolated active alkaloid from the root bark of the central West African shrub Tabernanthe Iboga . It has been used for thousands of years for spiritual development and as a rite of passage into adulthood. Its properties as a treatment to stop opiate withdrawal were unknown until the late 1960’s. Since that time, studies undertaken by leading research and academic facilities have shown that Ibogaine is an effective addiction interrupter for most substances including heroin, methadone, methamphetamine, cocaine, alcohol, and nicotine.

The history of Ibogaine

Tabernanthe iboga (iboga) is a perennial rainforest shrub native to West Africa. An evergreen bush indigenous to Gabon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Republic of Congo, it is cultivated across West Africa. Iboga is native to tropical forests, preferring moist soil in partial shade.[3] It bears dark green, narrow leaves and clusters of white tubular flowers.

How Ibogaine Works

Ibogaine alleviates physical withdrawal symptons of opiate detoxification by resettingand refreshing the opiate receptor sites. How this is done is still not fully understood, no other known substance has shown this method of action. Once this process is complete, no further use of Ibogaine is necessary. It functions in a similar way to treatments that block or take residence in the receptor sites that normally harbor chemical substances.

BACKGROUND Since a very early age, she always had a great passion for plants and alternative healing modalities, mainly as her mom has been a big pharma supporter, and she grew up witnessing the detrimental side effects of long-term use of these chemicals. In her early twenties she studied various subjects and joined the Practical School of Philosophy, and it was then that her spiritual journey started, meditating, and studying various religions and modalities. She did her first Ayahuasca, San Pedro & Kambo with international shaman Yawa Bane & Nixiwaka Sterling in 1997 at Sun Moon Village, in Rustlers Valley, and had a taste of her first plant medicine journey experience. She was deeply touched by serious fundamental life-changing realizations. Alas, the journey wore off quickly, and she did numerous more journeys and retreats, ranging from Psilocybin, San Pedro, fire walks, and many other extreme sports. Ten years went past, and she was deeply traumatized when she lost five people in ten months to death and for the first time in her life stared death in the eye. Life happened with two house brake-ins, two smash and grabs, and a very abusive eight-year relationship that came to an end when she landed in the hospital. It was then that she lost hope in humanity, after numerous nervous breakdowns at work, her life came tumbling down at the peak of her corporate life at the age of 39. There must be more to life than chasing money, she realized. In December 2014 she did her first Ibogaine psycho-spiritual journey prior to an extensive juice fast and coffee colonics. She worked at the first retreat and gained experience with detoxing and juicing. In March 2015 she joined the second retreat, serving Ibogaine medicine and facilitation since then have held space for around 500 journeys. In 2017 she had severe compassion fatigue and left the retreat for nine months to focus on her own spiritual growth, to centre and reconnect with herself, and worked and lived at a Buddhist Retreat in North West Province. In January 2018 she joined the Ibogaine world again. She started seeing a life coach and it was then that the idea of opening her own retreat was born. Kundalini yoga is known as the yoga of awareness and experience-your inner experience of the journey within. Of the recognised forms of yoga it is said to be the oldest and the original complete form, and the most comprehensive. It encompasses asana (physical postures), chanting mantra (repetition of primal sounds), meditation, and breath. For this reason, it is known to be one of the fastest and most potent systems of personal transformation and spiritual growth. It balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, expands the lung capacity, and purifies the bloodstream. It trains the mind to think positively and be in control of thoughts and attitudes. It builds inner strength and self- awareness to its maximum, assisting us in reaching our highest potential. The word Kundalini is derived from the word “kundal”, which means “the curl of the lock of hair of the beloved”. Kundalini yoga is practiced in the form of kriya. Each kriya is a set of postures, breath and meditations designed to allow the manifestation of a particular state. A typical Kundalini yoga class will include opening the space by chanting a sacred Sanskrit mantra to “tune in”, breathing and warm-up exercises, the main kriya, a meditation (with or without mantra) and deep relaxation.
