The first step is getting to know you and understanding the process we are about to commence.
Psychedelic therapy, particularly within neuropsychopharmacology, explores the transformative potential of substances like psilocybin and MDMA in addressing mental health conditions such as PTSD and treatment-resistant depression. This approach integrates preparation, dosing sessions, and post-experience integration—each stage crucial for maximizing therapeutic outcomes.
From July 1, 2023, Australian psychiatrists with specific authorization can prescribe psilocybin and MDMA within clinical settings. These advancements underscore the growing recognition of psychedelics' ability to catalyze profound psychological healing.
Historically, psychedelics like psilocybin, ayahuasca, and peyote were administered by shamans skilled in creating optimal set, setting, and integration practices. In contrast, contemporary Western use often lacks these structured frameworks due to legal, cultural, and social constraints, complicating proper integration.
While I do not endorse illegal drug use, I provide harm reduction services for those who choose to engage with psychedelics, offering psychoeducation and integration support. Drawing on my personal and professional experience with psychedelics in legal settings, I combine insights from neuropsychopharmacology, psychosomatic science, and transpersonal psychology to support individuals in interpreting and integrating their experiences.
Through this comprehensive, judgment-free approach, I aim to help participants unlock the therapeutic and transformative potential of psychedelic-assisted healing.
