The Rose Wolf River Retreat
“The soul of your true nature is calling you home.”
Although you will find fast wifi at The Rose Wolf for your enjoyment, we’ve removed all the TVs… and instead there we have set up intentional ways that people can connect with each other or simply deeper with themselves.
Whether that is dancing through movement to the record player or writing in solitude in the office, sitting on the couch reading a book, telling a story to a child, or just going outside to play, our retreat center removes all the distractions of normal daily rhythms to allow a new and blank canvas to emerge to see how to invite in a new level of connection with oneself or those they are staying with.
At The Rose Wolf, there is no separation between what is wild in the heart and wild along the river bank. Play with your children or your own inner child exploring at the river’s edge skipping rocks, building cairns, or roasting marshmallows around the fire pit.
Disconnect to Reconnect
“In the presence of love, in the presence of the present moment, is where we can allow for more transformation and healing to occur.” - Paulina Smith
The river energy at The Rose Wolf lends itself to playfulness and letting go, personal reflection and finding new paths and momentum for new projects and passions. The kitchen and outer deck for dining around the fire pit invites gathering, shared meal-making, baking a cake or cookies and, in general, just being with friends and family.
Every visual and physical comforts has been taken into consideration with soulful curation of place and purpose for people looking to have everything set up and arrive so they can be present with each other and the work (or play) they are intending to do on their trip to a “home away from home.”

Walk into Wellness
Within the grounds of The Rose Wolf River Retreat you will find for use by guests an infrared sauna, essential oils, high vibrational crystals, candles, soul art paintings and a variety of fun things to do and try for the purpose of greater wellness.
Majority of the items in the home are heirlooms and memories of the Bricca family. To be a sacred steward of the land for future generations, the retreat sanctuary underwent a magical transformation by professional interior designer Cesalee Venema to honor and encompass all of the unconditional love that extends from the maternal and paternal sides of the Bricca family, along with the individual flares of creativity and spirituality of new stewardess, Paulina. Paulina Smith, psychotherapist and priestess, and her dear friend and shaman, Holly Baade, gave blessings to the land and created an energy grid to protect and anchor the intention of healing and unconditional love. The feeling is palpable the moment you cross the threshold onto the sanctuary you see the redwood tree guardians and all of the wildlife that know this space to be a safe haven.
The Rose Wolf represents the balance and sacred union of the feminine and masculine natures of our worlds, weaving together presence, intention, and love.
Endless opportunities for personal and shared wellness awaits!
Open to the Possibilities
The Rose Wolf is designed to be modular and open to many different kinds of possibilities. We are open to welcome a family who desires to vacation on the beautiful Umpqua River, or to ceremonial facilitators and healing practitioners who have private clients and desire to host their offering at the sanctuary. The home is also open to be a venue for small, intimate events. The wellness studio has an infrared sauna, massage table, and homemade built-in desk perfect for creative use or as quiet work space.
The retreat fits about 7 people in the 3 bedrooms, one of which is a detached fully equipped studio, and an office in the main house with fold-down twin couch . There is also ample space for camping in the backyard, or sleeping under the stars on the large deck. You can get creative and have a sleeping bag slumber party in the living room (the couches and tables can be easily moved to the sides of the room.)
The Rose Wolf is perfect for deep immersion in quietude an unwinding that begins with inviting guests to tune into how they’d like to curate their own personal retreat.
Session Types

The 5th Element (retreat package)
Welcome to your heart expansion journey of Undoing, Being & Becoming your most authentic soul self.
The 5th Element is designed to assist you in your spiritual healing process to Surrender, Trust, and have Faith in yourself and in your life.
At The Rose Wolf Retreat Center, we offer a transformative experience that begins “Undoing,” inspired by the natural process of a pearl’s formation—a gentle reminder that sometimes irritation leads to beautiful outcomes. This session serves as a metaphorical grain of sand to begin your personal “pearling” process. It’s a seed of intention designed to help guests embark on a healing journey and choose to live more consciously by embracing a new environment and letting go of what no longer serves them. This may include shedding comfortable but limiting behaviors, long-held thought patterns, or confronting grief and past wounds. “Undoing” is about facing everything, whether intentionally or unexpectedly, and it requires presence and courage as it can be both challenging and liberating. This phase invites you to breathe through moments of discomfort, releasing patterns of “fight, flight, or freeze,” allowing you to show up as a blank canvas to your own adventure and reach your highest potential of being.
Following “Undoing,” guests enter the “Being” phase, where the journey continues with an embrace of stillness and presence. Initially, this might feel like a lull or boredom as you step away from habitual actions to create space for new growth. This period of inactivity is crucial for fostering a sense of being without distraction, eventually giving rise to a fuller capacity to receive more of your soul’s light without stress or striving. It’s a time of balancing, allowing more of the divine feminine and masculine energies to flow, providing a safe container for transformative burn away. This phase emphasizes the importance of simply being receptive to inner guidance, allowing for profound insight and healing.
The cycle culminates in the “Becoming” phase, where the essence of birth—new, painful, yet ecstatic—is experienced. This phase symbolizes a new beginning, akin to a phoenix rising anew. Here, participants feel the spark of creation as they embrace growth and build new foundations for freedom and abundance. It’s a dynamic time of both polarity and attraction, requiring focus and the establishment of boundaries to contain and direct newfound energies.
Each phase—Undoing, Being, and Becoming—is not linear but fluid, allowing for continual return and exploration as one feels greater enlightenment and the embodiment of the 5th element of Spirit. At The Rose Wolf, we create a nurturing environment for this cycle, supporting each guest in connecting to their innermost self and embracing the curative process of transformation and healing in their unique way.The 5th Element (retreat package)
