Radiant Resurgence is a 4-day retreat for women who are looking to embark on a new chapter of self-love. Located in Fraser, CO, Radiant Resurgence provides a safe and supportive environment with harm reduction services guiding around Colorado Law Proposition 122, which is the compliant sharing of medicinal mushrooms among adults. The mushroom journey is optional and not required to participate. With a range of holistic services, including sound bath ceremonies, yoga, chef-prepared cuisine, and counseling, we aim to guide our guests towards physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Before attending the in-person retreat, cohorts of up to 10 will participate in a 4-week online pre-work course called “Becoming the One.” The course is designed to heal patterns of unhealthy relationships, strengthen the relationship with self, and cultivate healthier, lasting relationships. Radiant Resurgence Retreat is designed to cultivate connection, encourage self-growth, and build community among women with shared experiences.

The Process

STEP

1

Initial Discovery Call Begin with scheduling an initial discovery call to meet with the retreat founder or representative. This is an opportunity for the patient to learn more about the retreat, the philosophy, and the practices that are followed. During this call, the patient can discuss their current health status, personal challenges, and any specific needs or accommodations they may require. It’s important to establish openness and trust during this conversation, as it sets the tone for the entire healing journey.
STEP

2

Health Discovery and Planning If the retreat seems like a good fit, the next step is a comprehensive health discovery session which might include an intake interview. This is where the patient shares detailed health history, any medications they are taking, and discusses any mental or physical health concerns. The patient and the retreat guide will discuss the patient’s intentions and goals for the retreat. They may cover areas such as emotional healing, stress management, personal growth, or physical health. The guide will explain the types of therapy and activities available, such as meditation, yoga, nutrition workshops, or group counseling, and together they will plan a personalized retreat schedule.
STEP

3

Retreat Experience and Ongoing Support During the retreat, the patient will participate in the planned activities and therapies designed to promote self-love, healing, and personal growth. Post-retreat, continuing therapy and integration support may be provided to ensure the patient can apply what they’ve learned and experienced to their daily life. This might include follow-up calls, online group sessions, or one-on-one counseling. The retreat’s aim is to provide tools and experiences that the patient can integrate into her life, helping to foster ongoing personal development and well-being.

Felicia Mendes: Retreat Founder Radiant Resurgence Retreat is founded by Felicia Mendes, who has a background in psychology, government policies, and extensive experience in organizing retreats. She studied psychology at the University of Colorado-Boulder followed by a graduate degree from the University of Denver. After working as a school psychologist for 9 years in the Denver Metro Area she was called to create system-level change and pursued a career in state government work as the Workforce Development Specialist for the Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Program. During this career change, she experienced her divorce. Like many women who go through divorce, she used this time as an opportunity for self-discovery and growth. After utilizing many tools to support healing such as counseling, meditation, psilocybin therapy, and a self-love course (included in the retreat), she felt called to help other women embarking on a new chapter of life. Vanessa Cruz · Licensed Practical Nurse, End of Life Doula, and Psychedelic Guide

Vanessa Cruz: Licensed Practical Nurse, End of Life Doula, and Psychedelic Guide Vanessa began learning about plant medicines from her grandmother and great grandmother in the mountains of New Mexico at 5 years old. Since that time, she has been immersed in various healing paths through herbalism, curanderismo, yoga, breathwork, meditation, and earth medicines. As an Indigenous woman credentialed in Mindfulness Based Psychedelic Guiding, Vanessa supports individual’s direct experience of the sacred through ceremony, ritual, and spiritual connection. Inviting in practices and ceremonies held for generations allows an opportunity to celebrate, give gratitude, or prepare for various struggles or difficulties in life and death. Returning to ancestral knowledge and earth-based practices creates a conduit of transformation from fear to awe, pain to beauty, and anger into gratitude through a decolonized approach. Vanessa received her practical nursing education through Concord Career Institute in Denver, CO, and has taken advanced nursing courses through Colorado State University – Pueblo. Vanessa completed MAPS MDMA Therapy Training Program, Ketamine Nurse Guide Training through KetaMD, and advanced training in Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Therapy through the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness. She has completed 40 plus continuing education hours as a Cannabis Nurse educator supporting individuals exploring Cannabis as medicine. Vanessa co-facilitates a monthly group Herb & Bones encouraging conversations about death and psychedelics. Connect with Vanessa at TheAwakenedBody.org.

Michael Pottern · Zen Den Experience Guide

Michael Pottern: Zen Den Experience Guide Michael Pottern's journey began in the heart of Denver, CO. His entrepreneurial spirit took root during middle school with Phozzie's Playpen, a bulletin board system dedicated to conversations about music discovery, new technologies, and connecting people. After achieving rapid success in real estate in his 20s, Michael experienced physical, emotional, and spiritual burnout, leading him to seek a more meaningful and sustainable path to happiness. Embarking on a cross-country road trip, Michael explored the open road, met new people, and discovered healing modalities. This adventure inspired the creation of his wellness-focused company, Find My Zen, originally launched in 2016. Over the years, the company evolved into a platform connecting curious seekers with wellness spaces in 12 cities across the country. The Denver Zen Den reflects Michael's personal journey, emphasizing the importance of "being" rather than just "doing." Through introspection, he recognized the significance of presence and its impact on his life. This realization led him to seek deeper connections with both himself and others, shifting his focus from external markers of success to internal fulfillment. Michael's exploration of various offerings and workshops over the past five years revealed recurring principles that apply to most of them. Additionally, he uncovered emerging technologies that complement and enhance these ancient practices. The journey itself became the destination, fostering personal and collective fulfillment, and aligning with the desired expression of the soul.
