Hi! My name is Leo, and I’m an integrative plant medicine facilitator and psychotherapist practitioner. My professional exploration of healing and altered states of consciousness began in the Bay Area, where I gained significant clinical experience by contributing with folks who looked at the effects of psilocybin on Major Depressive Disorder and Trauma.
My training involves many diverse, yet compatible modalities such as somatic trauma therapy, intergenerational trauma healing, internal family systems, attachment theory, nutritional healing, mindfulness meditation, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, psilocybin-assisted group therapy, and several other skills.
Outside of my work with plant medicine, I love traveling and practicing the Spanish language, going to the gym, doing daily walks, and most of all, laughing with my friends.
The way I work, simply put, is all about you. It’s about your goals and what is important for you to achieve. Some describe me as “lovingly confrontational”. This means I will not only witness your growth process and encourage you; but I will also tell you whenever I feel you are preventing yourself from becoming the person you want to be.
I utilize our time together to build a relationship that ultimately serves to achieve your goals and create a happier, fuller life.

The Process
STEP
1
We would exchange emails, then a 20-minute free consultation call to check if we are a good fit and if I can help you.
STEP
2
Once we establish that we are a good fit and both parties want to go ahead, we will schedule a pre-session (preparation) in which we will discuss your history, current medication, your knowledge regarding journeys, and everything else that is necessary including taking you through the protocol for the day of the trip itself. Once we finish that step, we book a date for us to meet in person for the journey.
STEP
3
You would arrive driven by someone. We would meet in person. I would chat with your driver and let him/her know when to get back to you. Then you and I would go inside the office and talk about how you are feeling today and what is on your mind. We would also discuss intentions again (that would have been discussed as part of step 2). We would talk about informed consent and last-minute things that may be necessary for you to feel more comfortable during the process.
I would give you a disclaimer to sign and I would invite you to take the medicine.
You would make yourself comfortable with an eye mask and headphones. I would start a guided meditation and afterward play the medicine music.
During the rest of the journey, I would be there to help you in any way is needed, taking notes, helping to hydrate you, or guiding you to the bathroom. And most importantly if any therapeutical intervention is needed, I will also be there to help you at any time. In other words, I will be of service for the entire time of the journey in whatever capacity is needed.
STEP
4
Once the journey is over. I would help you to "land" gently as possible using techniques I learned. Your driver will pick you up, and I will send you a few recommendations for the next few days.
STEP
5
We would meet online for the integration part. This last part of the journey is perhaps the hardest one to describe because I have done that countless times, and yet, every time, it looks a bit different to me. The goal for the session is for you to "make sense" and integrate what you have experienced just a few days before. I will share the music and my notes with you, and I will help you in the best way possible so you can utilize the things you felt/experienced/saw and put them into practice.
