Jason’s journey has led him around the world in search of questions he has had about life. Early in his twenties, he began to develop a keen interest in plants: as food, nutrition, life, and medicine. He began learning holistic systems of medicine such as herbalism, Traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, and nutrition. That curiosity eventually led him to the Amazon where he began to work with plants to learn traditional ways of healing. Jason came to work at the ayahuasca healing center Temple of the Way of Light in 2012 where he would stay for nearly a decade. After having worked with ayahuasca quite extensively, he began the process of dieting plants in the Shipibo tradition. In 2013 he began working with maestro Ernesto Garcia Torres, delving deep into the world of dieting. Through a prolonged apprenticeship and training, involving prolonged isolation, fasting, and dieting of plants, he was given the blessing to begin working plants and the title of tabaquero. He currently runs plant medicine retreats/dietas in Peru and travels abroad regularly. Jason works through the medium of the master plant tobacco and with tree medicines from the Amazon rainforest and increasingly with trees from North America and Europe. Jason created a podcast called The Universe Within Podcast. Plants truly are our food, our life, our medicine, and they are alive and here to help us learn from them. They can open us to a world that we perhaps never could have imagined: the world of who we are. When we approach them with respect, honor, humility, and a genuine desire to learn, they can open the doors of life and heal us on all levels. Jason is deeply grateful to all of his teachers and students who have and continue to teach him, and to everyone that has helped him on his journey to where he is, and to wherever it may lead. Jason is also an Eagle Scout and in his free time, he enjoys practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (he is a brown belt and also in Lute Livre), riding his motorcycle, and enjoying some peace and quiet..

Integration Session

The word integration comes from the root meaning to make whole. Essentially all medicine work is a journey into wholeness, a shedding away of what no longer serves, moving closer to the essence of who we truly are. During ceremonies we can have very profound experiences where a tremendous amount of insight, learning and healing can occur. These experiences can deeply alter ourselves and our lives, opening us to new ways of seeing and of being. For many people who go through these ceremonial or initiatory experiences, some of the hardest work comes after the ceremony, once they reemerge back into their lives. The insights and healing must be practiced and integrated back into their lives, for if they are not, then the ceremonial experience was just a fleeting moment. While change and insight can be seen in oneself, often there is difficulty in feeling that the outside world is still the same. Also it can be difficult to find people who understand our experiences and are able to listen to and aid us on our journey. This can leave us feeling very alone. In more traditional societies, this medicine work was often woven into the fabric of their people’s lives. So integration was a natural part of life. One was surrounded by the medicine people, the elders, the community which supported them during their process. So there was a more seamless process of integrating their experience into their lives. For many of us who come from different cultures where that support is not abundantly surrounding us, this sense of aloneness and a desire to communicate and to ask for help, guidance, and encouragement is lacking. Working with someone who has done this work themselves and helped to guide many people on this journey can really help to aid in the process. Often just a short conversation with someone to listen to what is arising and offer perspective and guidance can be a tremendous help. The role of an integrator isn’t necessarily to decipher or to give concrete advice, but to help us to see things in a light and perspective that empowers us to move into wholeness. Insight, perspective, guidance, experience, and wisdom can help to guide and integrate in very powerful ways. To book: https://bit.ly/SetmoreJG

Upcoming Events

Tobacco and Tree Dieta - 3 February - 2 March, 2024 - Urubamba, Sacred Valley, Peru · February 3 - March 2, 2024

The plant dieta is a chance to learn from one of the Master Plant teachers. “Dieting” is a traditional process one undertakes to learn and heal deeply from a plant. The dieta is done in isolation which gives the participant a chance to deeply be with herself, to see and understand the mind, and to allow the plant to maximize its effects. Guests will arrive during the day, get settled in, have a diagnostic to see which plant would be of most benefit, and then begin the ceremony and dieting process that night. Food is kept to a minimum to allow the plant to deeply penetrate. It is said that when the body is weak, the spirit is high. Guests will drink a juice or smoothie or eat a light soup twice a day just in order to maintain physical force so that they are able to undertake the plant diet, which can be strong and profound. The dietas will be run by myself and my colleague Merav, a very experienced tabaquera. Combined we have worked with and guided over a thousand people in ceremonies working with various plants. It is a great opportunity to work with both a very experienced male and female guide. Guests have the option to stay between one and three weeks. Each diet is seven days and seven nights. We break the dieta on the eighth morning. Guest works with one tree per dieta. We recommend at least two weeks to go more deeply into the medicine. There is a two-day break in between diets to rest and recuperate. Guests can stay in town but we welcome and encourage everyone to stay in their rooms between diets. In these two days, we will not be preparing food, but guests can use the facilities and can prepare their own food, use the internet, rest, integrate, and run errands in town they may need to do. The dietas will take place in Urubamba, Peru. This is in the Sacred Valley of Peru, where the lowland Amazonian jungle comes up and turns into the high Andean mountain range. Price is all-inclusive of the dieta, including all work, medicine, food, accommodation, and treatments. (Exact location and accommodation may vary depending on the number of dieters) Dieta cost: 1 week: $975 plus 5% credit card charge

This event is located at a plant-medicine retreat center in Lizant, France, and run by Merav Artzi and Jason Sadhana Grechanik. Combined we have worked with and guided over a thousand people in ceremonies working with various plants. It is a great opportunity to work with both a very experienced male and female guide. We recommend that guests come for both weeks if possible as we have seen in two weeks, usually people are able to go much deeper into a process. But we understand if this is not possible financially or with time so we offer one-week dietas and these are very beneficial as well and guests can still go very deep. We will be bringing Amazonian trees to work with as well as four local trees: oak, hawthorn, elder and alder. We have found working with local trees gives people an opportunity to connect to the medicine and wisdom of their land. They also can develop a connection to a tree that they can then go back to physically and continue a relationship with. We have been truly inspired with the connection our guests are developing working with their own indigenous trees. Given the high amount of RSVP and the limited space (12 people) we are offering TWO DATES: A - May 8th to 15th B - May 17th to 24th We will do our best to accommodate your date and will get back to you if the only dates you can is not available anymore. We will take reservations on a FIRST COME / FIRST SERVE BASIS. The exchange is €1,475 for 8 days or €2,800 for 17 days with a bell tent. The price includes: - Initial consultation & recommendation - 8 days / 7 nights plant dieta - Daily Plant Dieta Ceremony - Daily Breakfast & Lunch (evening are fasting for the Plant Dieta) - Plant/tree baths and potential extra remedies to support the process - Accommodation: Individual bell tents with bed, mattress, linens, chair and rug - Access to the land & facilities (bathroom, shower, lounge areas) - Daily support, coaching, and teaching from Merav Artzi and Jason Sadhana Grechanik - Post Dieta Integration support
