My name is Giovanni Pierre, a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner and the founder of Safe Haven Health. I started Safe Haven Health in 2021, a virtual mental health clinic to destigmatize mental health conditions and help individuals reach their full potential.
I started my career as a registered nurse in 2017, and since then, I have worked in several settings in the mental health area. I wanted to offer more comprehensive and individualized care to each patient, which led to my obtaining my psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner degree. While completing my degree, I was trained under knowledgeable physicians, nurse practitioners, and psychotherapists in several hospitals, and inpatient and outpatient settings.
Personally, I have had depression and anxiety since I was a young child. At the time, I never really understood what I was going through. I kept what I was experiencing silent until I started college, which is when my symptoms worsened. I then sought mental healthcare and have been through several traditional and alternative treatments. Many of them have worked, but I still experienced lingering depression, anxiety, panic, and insomnia that just would not subside.
Ketamine drastically transformed my mental health for the best (along with therapy), and in a matter of a few weeks, I started to experience life differently. It opened my eyes to a new world. Can I say I am never anxious or down now? No. But this is the best I have felt in a long time. I want to provide the same life-saving treatment and more to others struggling with debilitating depression, anxiety, and substance abuse conditions.
All my clients know that I don’t just work in the mental health field; I am passionate about it. I want to help individuals relieve their burdens and fulfill their full capabilities. I fully understand that each individual is an expert on themselves. I am committed to collaborating with you to find the best treatment approach for you.
The Process

Please note that we are only accepting clients in Maryland, Delaware, Florida, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Vermont, Oregon, Rhode Island, New Mexico, and Massachusetts.

Once you schedule an appointment, you will receive an email instructing you to complete intake paperwork. It is essential that this paperwork is completed at least 24 hours before our appointment.

We will have a 30-minute initial consultation to determine if ketamine would be appropriate for you. If appropriate, we will discuss a dosage and individualized schedule to treat your concerns. Once the medication is prescribed, it will be delivered to your home within a few days.

Once approved for the ketamine treatment program, you will be enrolled in our monthly membership plan, which is $250. We do accept several insurance that may cover your treatment costs. At this time, we accept Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, UMR, Oxford, and Oscar.
