The Art of Extraction leaves you with more than six finished tinctures, though you will have those too. At the end, you'll have personally crafted real, shelf-stable extracts you selected, processed, and bottled yourself. What the course actually offers is a way of seeing: an understanding of phytochemistry and ecology precise enough to know why a ratio matters, why a solvent behaves as it does, and what a plant or mushroom is actually capable of yielding. You will read any label with new confidence, work with medicinal mushrooms correctly rather than by guesswork, and carry a working apothecary practice that compounds with every batch after. It is less a set of recipes than it is a lens of better understanding nature and nature's medicine and how to work with it to support your life and the lives of the people around you.

Jonathan Fredette
Jonathan's path into plant and mushroom medicine started as a personal one. Facing his own health challenges early on, he turned to the natural sciences and found a way forward through mycology, studying and cultivating mushrooms while working as an assistant in a pathology lab in the Pacific Northwest while studying public health.
In 2019 he founded Evolved Mushrooms to bring holistic wellness and mycology education to his community. Over seven years he has developed unique botanical mushroom formulas, hosted large-scale community events and local workshops, and helped people work through real health challenges, with a particular focus on mental wellness.
He specializes in community education, extraction, plant medicine, conscious entrepreneurship and supporting the growth and evolution of his clients and community. Within the next chapter of his work, he is focusing intently on building a network of students, educators and collaborators within the project Liminalis, which will host a YouTube channel of mysticism, storytelling, education and skill-building.
